Lower lip trauma- Should I have scar revision surgery? (Photos)

Sully Sullenberg
When I was a teenager, I had trauma to my lower lip twice- my bottom tooth went straight through it both times. I only ever got stitches, never an actual scar revision. In 2020, I had surgery for what doctors thought was a mucocele, but it turned out not to be one. Since then I’ve been left with a bump right at the wet–dry line of my lip. The top of it feels soft/jelly-like when I pinch it, but underneath it’s firmer (scar tissue). At rest, my lip looks uneven — the center looks bulky and raised compared to the rest. I’m considering scar revision, but I’m worried about trading the raised bump for a dip or notch. Looking for advice and guidance on how to go about this.
