Seven years ago, I suffered a serious injury to my lip that required emergency reconstructive surgery. The doctor did great but i can see the unevenness. Ive been looking for doctors to fix it for years but im not sure where to look, and exactly what i should ask for . On the left side of my upper lip, there is a little more skin there than the other side. I attached a before and after photo to tell the difference.

The technique I recommend is an eccentric lip lift. This will excise excess skin laterally and less skin centrally, will increase the mucosa of the upper lip, increase the incisor show and pull up the corners.

You could undergo excision of the wider lip. This could be done under local anesthesia and the scar would be concealed in the mucosa.

You are an excellent candidate for a lip lift. A lip lift does 4 things: shortens the distance between the nose and upper lip, increases the mucosa of the upper lip, increases the incisor show and pulls up the corners.
