My silicone nose implant fell out. What can I do?

You do not need to wait for a revision surgery.  As long as there is no sign of infection you can immediately undergo revision.RegardsDr. J

Yes, I think that waiting 6 months or possible longer to allow the soft tissues to heal, clear the infection, and soften is probably best.

I'm sorry to hear that your nasal implant worked its way out. You should wait at least 6 months to a year to allow the tissue swelling to go down and then consider using your cartilage as an implant the next time around. If you try silicone nasal implants again, you have a significant chance of a similar extrusion complication result.

You should maintain close follow up with a local rhinoplasty expert to watch for any signs of infection.  I would have a low threshold to start you on antibiotics for a period of time.  I would certainly wait several months before considering a revision.  All the best!

I recommend you wait until  healing is complete, probably another 4-6 months before revision surgery. You are fortunate that you did no have more serious problems before the implant fell out. This is why I avoid the use of silicone implants in the nose; there is a risk if infection, movement, or extrusion as you experienced. Consider using your own cartilage which will become incorporated into the surrounding tissue.
