Thank you very much for enquire.It's too early to make value judgments with only 3 weeks after a rhinoplasty.Swelling after a rhinoplasty depends of the surgery complexity.In this regard, the nasal swelling Post-op It can last from two weeks to two months.To reduce this swelling, I recommend you perform delicates daily lymphatic drainage massage therapy over the face (around the nose) avoid sun exposure, and take pain/inflamation pills, as your surgeron precribe you.Kind regards, Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.-
I wish I could give more meaningful advice other than to say that you need to stay in close contact with your Surgeon about your concerns. Secondly, you must realize that 18 days postop is very early in the recovery process. I agree that the photos are suggestive of a pollybeak deformity, which can be managed conservatively by your Surgeon (steropid injections, massage, etc).
Thank you for your question. I would recommend seeing your surgeon as soon as you can to make sure there is not an infection or other issue with the incision. You also could have a retained suture (stitch) which is causing irritation. I hope that this helps,-David Gilpin
During surgery a patienshould have no pain if proper anesthesia is administered. Pain in the nose following rhinoplasty surgery is not severe, short lived and controlled with pain medication. I suggest you not worry about pain after this operation.
The best thing to do is to stop trying to get rid of ALL of the post-surgical swelling in 2-3 more days. If all you had were Weir excisions, continue with head elevation and restrict strenuous activities. Don't frostbite your skin in an over-zealous attempt to eliminate swelling via icing.Final...
