If your cardiologist feels that it is safe then that is your best answer. We commonly do surgery on patients who are now healthy following a heart procedure that has been corrected.
Your cardiologist should give cardiac clearance as an ok to your plastic surgeon and anesthesiologist. Really any disorder of the heart requiring a cardiologists care would also need cardiac clearance before surgery.
There is no reason you cannot have liposuciton if you have clearance from your physician. I would suggest if you are a canddiate to get a hi definition procedure to get more contour and shape rather than solely fat removal. Best, Dr. Emer.
I don't see a problem with liposuction provided your cardiologist is okay with it. Many patients are done with sedation and tumescent anesthesia obviating the need for a general anesthetic. Something to consider.
Thanks for an excellent question. If your Cardiologist feels after the ablation that you are in good heart health and you have no other medical problems--then you should be able to consider body contouring. Good Luck.
Your cardiologist can give you an opinion and coordinate with your BCPS about the specifics of your case, risks, etc.Let your cardiologist know you are looking into this procedure, consult with a BCPS and come up with a plan that works for all of you.Best.
Being in Florida, I deal with many patients who are older and have concurrent cardiac issues. In my experience, ablation whether for atrial fibrillation or a tachycardia is not a contraindication. In these scenarios, however, I always consult a cardiologist for a risk assessment. There may also be blood thinners involved that need perioperative management.Hope this helps,Dr. Nathan
I would agree that getting an exam and letter from your cardiologist is the best first start. You only mention one area of liposuction so that should not be too long of a surgery. A good MD anesthesiologist should be present during your surgery, whether you have local anesthesia or general anesthesia. Best wishes.
As long as you are in good health, liposuction is very safe. Would recommend speaking to your cardiologist. The plastic surgeon may want clearance from your heart doctor.
The best person to answer this question is your cardiologist. If he or she feels that your risk is low for this procedure, then it is probably reasonable to proceed. Your plastic surgeon also needs to feel comfortable with the cardiologist's assessment.
The photos that you are showing are of a tummy tuck procedure. With this procedure, the belly button is translocated in the skin of the abdomen. Depending on the anatomy of the belly button and also how one heals, this will determine the final result. Liposuction does not...
Thank you for asking about your buttock liposuction.Liposuction around the buttock should give it a nicer definition. This is especially liposuction of the lower back fat just above the buttock.Do not have the buttock itself liposuctioned - it is very likely to sag. Always see a Board Certified...
Normally it would make a very noticeable difference, especially the less you weigh currently. If you have seen an experienced liposuction surgeon then he can help set your expectations more precisely. Best of Luck Dr Harrell
