I have bloody liquid from a small hole under my tummy tuck incision, is this normal? (photos)

The photograph demonstrates a fairly common wound healing issue. I don't think there's anything to be concerned about that this should be brought to the attention of your surgeon.

Unfortunately it is not possible to tell from a picture alone how serious your problem is.  It does not appear that you have an infection, and the fluid is consistent with a seroma.  However, not all seromas resolve uneventfully.  They can become infected, they can become persistent requiring insertion of another drain, or even surgically cleaning the area out.  I would seek a consultation with a local plastic surgeon.

Thank you for your pictures. If you have a point where this seroma is draining it really depends on how much of the seroma is left internally whether something else needs to be done. An examination by your plastic surgeon here in the states will lead you down the right path of treatment.

It is not uncommon this early after a tummy tuck to have spitting suture material and small openings along the wound.  Drains should be removing the fluid building up under the skin.

This will need more attention. It may heal on it's own, but you will need close follow up with your plastic surgeon . . . if it gets infected, you could have a serious problem on your hands. Call your plastic surgeon ASAP to be seen.

Thanks for your question and the photos. It is really hard to tell without examining you as to whether there is a large collection or not. The amount of drainage is not significant on the pad you showed. It is better for fluid to leak out than build up. As long as your abdomen is not increasing in size, there is no fever or redness, you likely will be fine. I cannot agree more with how frustrating medical tourism is. I just had to operate on a lady this week who had complications from a surgery in Mexico. This puts the surgeon in a very precarious position having to inherit complications that are not their own. Hopefully, you can find someone in your area who is willing to see you. Best of Luck!

It is generally a very bad idea to regard major surgery such as yours like a vacation. You are now postoperative and are trying to get your medical care from the internet instead of from your surgeon. Please take this lesson to heart for the future. That being said, your plastic surgeon in Mexico MAY be correct, and might also be mistaken. A proper examination IN PERSON is the only way to determine what is going on with your healing. You should seek the advice of a board certified plastic surgeon in your area, and be prepared to pay a consultation fee, since the surgeon whom you will be seeing is not likely to be enthusiastic about providing you with free medical care. A proper evaluation would determine if you have a condition that requires treatment, such as a wound infection, or if you are healing as expected. Good luck to you and again, please do not make this mistake in the future. While your surgeon in Mexico might have done a good operation for you, it is not good medicine to operate on a patient and not be available for them for their post-operative care. 

I can't tell from a photo alone if this might be a serious problem or not, and therefore feel reluctant to offer what may be false reassurance. I think you should be evaluated in person, and that may be difficult to do.  If all else fails, an emergency department visit at one of the university hospitals should assure you of a referral for follow up.Best wishes. 

It is usually not typical to have bloody drainage 2 weeks after your surgery as the drain holes typically close in 2-3 days. However it's possible to have persistent drainage if there is an underlying Seroma. If there is a Seroma it will require drainage. It's best to discuss this with your plastic surgeon. Best of luck.
