FUE and alcohol - Will this have an adverse affect on my results? I don’t normally drink a lot.

I had an Fue. Everything went great. I did, though, go out on my birthday and got pretty drunk 16 days after. Will this have an adverse affect on my results? I don’t normally drink a lot. Things just got a little crazy that night.

It is best to ask your surgeon about post operative care as each doctor has their unique regimen.  Drinking alcohol should not affect your grafts.

While it is never recommended to over consume alcohol for general health it is unlikely that you have caused any damage to the transplanted follicles at 16 days post op.

Drinking in the initial days (Up to 1 week) after having the FUE treatment is not considered to be good for your health. If you have consumed alcohol after 16 days of the surgery then it shouldn’t effect your hair growth in any way.

Ad long as you didn't get drunk the first week post op you should be good to go! Excessive drinking post op during the first few days could have an effect on blood thinning as well as accidentally bumping your scalp during a drunken stupor.

You are able to drink after your FUE Procedure not a problem. 16 days after your certainly fine to resume your activities as normal. The only thing to worry about is the first 3 days after your procedure. That is when the grafts are the most vulnerable after that you are all good. So enjoy and now its just time to await the results.

Hello, Thank you for your question!Drinking alcohol 2 weeks after FUE should not cause any issues, because by the time the grafts will be stable and you will be done with all your post operative meds.

Drinking alcohol is ok once you stop taking your pain medications. After two weeks postop you should be healed and drinking alcohol will not effect the outcome.
