How soon after FUE can I shave my head with clippers?

I'm thinking about going ahead with getting FUE but I don't want to go through the whole ugly duckling/peach fuzz phase. How soon can I shave my head all over? I've read some people say that you can do it after two weeks and some say three months! In an ideal world, I would like to shave it down to a grade 0.5 all over for the first 9 months and then start letting it grow...

It is best to ask your surgeon about post operative care as each doctor has their unique regimen.  You can shave when your scalp has healed.

Hello. There is no specific time period I’m afraid. As long as all the crusts have shed (this varies from patient to patient) then you can shave your hair. This process normally takes up to 2 weeks.

Different surgeons will have different preferences, best to discuss this at your consultation.  If you ask, many surgeons will agree to trim down your entire scalp after the grafts are harvested and the openings for the grafts are made, before the grafts are placed.
