I've noticed in many "after" pics that there seems to be more often than not loose skin right under chin on many patients. I want to rid myself of that double chin/turkey thing but am having second thoughts when I see these photos. I am looking to regain my jawline and rid myself of that extra skin under chin. A lot are at 6 mos-I would expect better results & these photos are from various surgeons. Why is that?

Answer: A facelift will not always yield a perfect result.
Botox can be safely administered following facelift once the initial swelling has subsided. You would be best to ask your surgeon for a definitive answer, but typically at the 2 week point you should be ok.
Periorbital edema can sometimes last for a long time but it will eventually resolve. Fat transfer can cause a lot of persistent swelling especially if liquefied fat (not fat cells) have not been separated away. This should resolve with time.
