How long do I need to wait before having botox after a face lift?

Botox can be safely administered following facelift once the initial swelling has subsided.  You would be best to ask  your surgeon for a definitive answer, but typically at the 2 week point you should be ok. 

There is no reason not to have Botox as soon after a facelift as you wish. For purposes of economy you may want to wait until you're ready to go out in public.

You can have botox at any time after your facelift swelling has resolved.  It makes it easier and more accurate to administer botox injections.

Generally, there is no hard and fast answer to this question as it can vary depending upon the patient. Typically once enough of the swelling has gone down ad you can tell where to put the botox for the crow's feet, then it may be appropriate to get treated. I would ask your surgeon but typically on average about four weeks after the procedure is usually fine.

Hello,Generally speaking, the areas of botox injection are different than the surgical area for a facelift.  For this reason, the botox could really be injected any time before or after the facelift.  However, it might be a good idea to wait until most of the swelling has settled so that your physician can identify the appropriate anatomy and injection sites more easily.  Good luck!

Hello MonaCat.  My opinion is to wait at least 4 to 6 weeks after facial cosmetic surgery to inject Botox or Dysport.  You would want to see a lot of your swelling from surgery to resolve.  That gives your doctor a better chance to be more exact with the injections.
