It's been a week since I received my juvederm. I am getting hyaluronidase injected to my upper lip tomorrow due to the fact that my upper is bigger than bottom. The middle portion of my top lip protrudes out too much & kind of has a hanging look effect. My doc said he would inject the serum into the center part of my lip where it protrudes to even everything out. What are the side effects after? Will I look lop sided? Is it painful? Will any swelling occur? Anything i should be concerned about?

Answer: Lip swelling after juvederm injection Lips can remain swollen for quite some time after juvederm injection. Hyaluronidase can be used to break down and dissolve juvederm but I would recommend waiting until the swelling has fully resolved before undergoing hyaluronidase injection. It is difficult to remove juvederm or other HA fillers in an incremental fashion using hyaluronidase. Therefore you should expect an "all or none" type of response. I would recommend being certain that hyaluronidase is needed before undergoing this treatment.

Answer: Juvederm | Fillers Thank you for your question about Juvederm. It can take 2-3 weeks for the swelling to subside. You can then get hyaluronidase to dissolve the product if desired. It will likely dissolve all of it.To be sure, see two or more licensed and board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have these treatments.I hope this helps.
