Had Juviderm injections yesterday, and while the swelling has gone done significantly, what remain are small and large lumps on the underside of my upper lip. They are very sensitive, more firm, and painfully obvious when I smile or laugh. Up close they appear slightly transparent to a pearl color beneath. Should I be concerned?

Answer: Lumps Hello, 24 hours out from lip injections is still very early. The lumps are probably filler but could be more prominent due to swelling and possible a little bleeding around the area. In general if you feel a small lump you can do gentle massaging to soften the prominence...but your best bet is to get clearance from your injector beforehand.

Answer: Small bumps on lips after injections Thank you for your question and pictures. Those small bumps are likely the needle injection sites. They will likely settle as the swelling goes down in the next couple days. If it is indeed filler, I recommend gentle massage starting a few days after the injection. This should help to settle any small nodules of filler product. I hope this helps.- Dr. Bryson Richards
