I love the shape of my nose but at the end of it there is a little ball, its almost like cartilage. I can move it around very easily. I am wondering if this can be reduced without having to go under? I want a cute little nose that doesn't have as much cartilage down at the end and comes to more of a point instead of a round ball. How much would something like that cost? I will try to get a picture up later today.
Answer: Tip rhinoplasty Usually the whole nose is treated to maintain an overall symmetrical look and facial balance but it is possible to just make some changes to the tip only. I usually do this under general anesthesia though, for patient comfort. I would not want to try this under just local anesthesia but sometimes a deeper IV sedation could be the best of both worlds for comfort safety and recovery. The costs however are similar to general anesthesia. If you are interested, it is worth a consultation to see exactly what you want and what that would cost. It is hard to estimate this from a picture.

Answer: Tip rhinoplasty Dealing with issues of the tip of the nose alone without touching the upper bony nose is not uncommon as is called a tip rhinoplasty. This usually corrects a bulbous nose tip, a blunt tip or perhaps a low hanging tip as with a long nose. Without any photographs or a formal consultation, its impossible to determine whether you are a suitable candidate. Rhinoplasty procedures are all about balance and proportion so its important that any changes to the tip of your nose balance the overall appearance of your nose.

Answer: Can I change just the end of my nose without a full Rhinoplasty? In some cases, a "tip rhinoplasty" can be done under local anesthesia. An in person consultation would be best.

Answer: Tip rhinoplasty only for bulbous tip repair The far majority of patients must undergo a full rhinoplasty, not a tip rhinoplasty only, to make sure that the entire nose features balance with themselves. Technically it is possible to perform tip rhinoplasty only. A tip-plasty and a full rhinoplasty are both performed under a general anesthetic for patient safety and comfort. There are simply too many nerve endings in the nose for patient's to be comfortable performing this under local anesthesia.
