When issues arise after a procedure, trust your surgeon and see your doctor for evaluation. Sometimes you may need antiviral medication after an injection if you get blisters. Best, Dr. Dugar
I don't recommend popping blisters. I recommend following up with your Doctor for a formal evaluation. If necessary, antiviral medication may be prescribed for improvement. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Thanks for this important question.I'm not sure the cause of your blister without an exam. Small glands will tend to pop up after injections as a result of swelling and these do not contain filler material. If the filler is superficial, it can certainly look like a blister. Before "popping" it, I suggest you see your injector for a full evaluation and treatment. It is better to leave it to the professionals.Best wishes, Dr. ALDO :)
Thank you for your question. Usually it is not recommend having lip injections while you are suffering from fever blisters. Patients are advised treat these fever blisters with an antiviral medication to prevent them from happening before or during the procedures of lip injections. Moreover, popping your blisters can cause further complications. I recommend you get in touch with your injector and discuss your concerns as soon as possible. All the best!
Any blister that develops shortly after lip augmentation could imply that you have developed a bacterial or viral infection that would require appropriate antibiotic or antiviral medicine. I suggest that you follow-up with your doctor immediately to determine if such treatment is needed.

Follow up with your doctor in order to evaluate the nature of the blisters. Is it an infection or due to superficial injection and epidermal slough off? They may both look the same but infection will need treatment.
It is recommended to pretreat clients who have a history of fever blisters with an antiviral medication by mouth to hopefully prevent fever blisters from occurring. I recommend treating 2 days before, the day of, and 2 days after injection. As to your question of popping blisters, it is not recommended to irritate or "pop" blisters. If this occurs, in all likelihood, the product which was injected will not extruded unless it was injected very superficially. I highly recommend you pretreat in the future with antiviral medication. As for the present if you have fever blisters, I would recommend you contact the provider who injected you and make that person aware. Antiviral medication such as Acyclovir or Valtrex may be prescribed at this time also.
