Can fillers be used for deep smokers lines above the upper lip?

Hi, filler is an excellent way to camouflage fine and deeper lines around the mouth. Depending on the depth of the lines, a layered approach using a filler like Restylane for the deeper volume loss and then using a more flexible filler like Restylane Silk or Belotero or Volbella can be used on the superficial fine lines.

There are a number of treatment options for smoker's lines. For deep lines dermal filler is certainly an option with a number of suitable products available depending on your skin type. Dental blocks can be used to numb the area prior to treatment to minimise any discomfort. Other options that can be used alone or in combination with dermal filler include the use of laser resurfacing prior to treatment to enhance effect (depending on your skin characteristics).

Dear rosell:This is a common problem that can be treated with one of two fillers developed specifically for this issue, Volbella or Belotero. However, the best results are seen with approaches to permanent correct the lines in addition to temporarily filling them, such as Ultherapy, Pellevé, or microneedling with PRP.Topicals that immediately but temporarily fill and smooth the lines can give you an instant improvement while you are waiting for more permanent results from the treatments. Fillers are a great option for smokers lines above the upper lip.  I prefer to use a Restylane Silk or Volbella for smokers lines.  They can also be used to augment the volume of the lips.  The prices of these fillers vary based on the city where you live and type of practitioner providing the injection.  Hope this helps.

The best combination to treat these lines is to treat them as if they are "scars".  A combination of lasers such as Fraxel and fillers like Volbella are the best way to treat these lines.  I treat these wrinkles every day and this is the best way to reduce them.  Please consult an expert in lasers and cometic injections to treat you.  Best, Dr. Green

Combining dermal filler with Botox, laser skin resurfacing, platelet-rich plasma and radio-frequency treatments will give you the best result.
