I am one week post op. I am already very worried I did not go big enough. I am 5'3" and 150 lbs. Preop I was a 34 b. My goal was a full c small d. My doctor had me go with 350cc moderate profile under the muscle. They seem so small still. What can I do? Also, why does my right boob (left in the picture) look like it is messed up? will my boobs start to come together when I can wear a bra? Will they form cleavage?
Answer: Drop & Fluff Hello,Thank you for your question. In the weeks immediately following breast augmentation, especially with under the muscle placement, swelling and tightness can compress the implant volume up and outward for a time. Along with giving the appearance of high, rectangular breasts, this can make them appear smaller temporarily. You will need to allow a full 6 months to see the breast volume settled in and softened. This process is often called "Drop & Fluff" Try to be patient and wait until 6 months to evaluate your results.Take care

Answer: Not big enough after surgery At this early stage, looks like your implants are still riding high and not settled. You'll be able to judge the true size about 3-4 months after surgery. Be sure to discuss with your own surgeon about how this applies to you, and whether they have any special concerns in your case.

Answer: For now, wait I know it's frustrating to come out of surgery and not see your final results immediately, but it can take 3-6 months for your breasts to fully heal and drop/settle. And its quite common for each breast to heal/drop at a different rate. So, for now, you need to be patient with yourself and wait. Best, Dr. Nazarian

Answer: Did I not go big enough? I would urge you to be patient at this point in your recovery. Although it is perfectly understandable that you would want to take a hard look at your outcome after going through the whole process of deciding on and finally having surgery, the recovery from breast augmentation really requires a good 3-6 months before any assessment can faithfully be made. During that period, swelling will gradually resolve and the implants will gradually settle such that the shape, size, and position of your breasts will evolve. It is also important to keep in mind that one side may heal at a different rate or in a different manner than the other such that you may note asymmetries that did not exist preoperatively. These may also resolve as the healing process continues. Focus on getting the rest you need and following the counsel of your surgeon. Good luck!
