Answer: 8 weeks after breast implants Firms and hardness are common problems early after surgery, but you have to make sure there's no fluid build up or infection. Be sure to discuss with your own surgeon about how this applies to you, and whether they have any special concerns in your case.

Answer: Recovery You are still healing which can take anywhere from 3-6 months to fully resolve. However, if the breasts still feel hard in another month, I would suggest that you schedule an appointment with your surgeon so that you can be assessed in person. Best, Dr. Nazarian

Answer: 8 weeks ago I had a breast augmentation . My breasts feel very hard and won´t move . Will they soften? I appreciate your question. Right now, you are very early on in the post op recovery period. It will take 3-6 months for you to feel comfortable having implants in your body and for them to settle. This time allows for you to physically and psychologically adapt to your new body image. There are many variables that contribute to a breast augmentation's final result. Preop size and shape, IMF location, location of the implants and type of implant. Patients heal at different rates and each breast will sometimes heal at a different rate. Rest, relax, recover and heal. Please Express your concerns to your surgeon so he/she can examine you. Then reassess final result at 6 months. The best way to assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam. Please see a board-certified plastic surgeon that specializes in aesthetic and restorative breast surgery. Best of luck!Dr. Schwartz

Answer: Firm Breasts 8 Weeks After Augmentation At 8 weeks, your breasts should still soften a bit over the next 1-4 months. Textured implants do move significantly less than smooth implants and generally remain firmer as well. However, you are still early in your postop period and should give things a little more time to settle. I hope this helps. Best of luck to you.
