Just found out my a1c is 6.7. Could I still get my BBL? I’ve just started Metformin. Surgery is in 6 weeks for a BBL

My pcp said as long as I take my meds continue to eat healthy and exercise she would clear me for surgery my hemo was 13.4 and all my other blood work is fine ! Would that be a ok a1c to have elective surgery?
