Thank you for your question. This is just a bruise. It will go away with time. I would ice, take no NSAIDS, dont drink alcohol. Finding an injector that does cannula technique instead could avoid bruising significantly. Hope this helps, Dr. Thuy Doan. ATL

You should return to see your injector today to be evaluated in person. For any future injections, consider having injections done with a cannula rather than a sharp needle. I perform most of my filler injections in the lips with cannulas and this has greatly reduced the risk of bruising. If you have not done so, call your injector and get seen in person today.Best,Dr. Ort
It appears you have a simple bruise at the area of injection. There is not much that needs to be done at this point. The bruising with filler injections should not be expected or common. It all depends on the technique. There are several ways to prevent it. Any existing filler can be injected using a tiny needle, e.g.. gauge 32 rather than the needles provided with each product. The problem is that the original syringes of most of the fillers, by their physical properties, will not allow to extrude the filler when a small needle is attached. That requires a transfer to another syringe but not everyone is willing to do it. Another ways to minimize the risk of bruising is to use a small cannula. Good luck!
Hello!Bruise id very common with injectables. First contact your provider to let them know what is going on and thy will further instruct you. Arnica tablets taken as directed and pineapple juice are great for absorbing bruising. Do not take any NSAIDs aspirin or alcohol at this time. Give everything 1-2 weeks to settle in before doing any additional treatments. Best of Luck!Glow Med Spa Encino
Thank you for your question. It is difficult to comment without your before images but it appears as if your left upper lip is not elevating with your attempts at smiling. The Botox that was injected may have affected not the muscle running around the mouth but rather the one responsible for...
Yes its important to let your injector know about this immediately - If there is a serious eye complication they should have a protocol in place with this to minimise any problems, but treatment needs to be done rapidly if required.
There are various reasons why lip fillers will vary in longevity. A degree of this will be due to the type and quantity of filler used to treat the lip, but there will also be a degree of variance due to the patient specific factors. I would recommend speaking to your injector to discuss...
