Hi! I got 3 vials of juvederm two months ago and another 3 five days ago. I am shocked at how bloated my face looks. Even though I weight the same, I look awful compared to May, when the photos with darker hair were taken. Is the puffiness the result of juvederm? Or the result of a poor lifestyle? (Six months ago I got into a stressful relationship, started smoking, stopped eating fruits and vegetables, and stopped working out.) How do I make it go away?
Answer: Bloating after Juvederm Injections Hello MM. It's impossible to address your concerns without photos, but we often hear from patients that have been to other injectors that they feel "overdone". Developing a trusted relationship with a skilled injector is a process and in our practice, we like to move conservatively through that process by starting with small projects and building on them. If you feel your face is bloated from the injections, your best bet is to go back to the before photos and take a look at where you were injected. If it does not look natural to you, then you can either ask for reversal of the product (hyaluronidase injections) or just wait for the product to metabolize and start fresh with a new injector. Best of luck.

Answer: Facial bloating after fillers Hello and thank you for your question. Although it is hard to say if it is the filler without proper before and after photos, it may be a combination of both issues. One thing for sure is that swelling and/or bruising can create a "bloated" look and can take up to 2 weeks to subside. Juvederm can be dissolved with hyaluronidase if you are not satisfied with your results. I suggest following up with your injector if you are still concerned after the 2 week mark. Of course, smoking cessation, a healthy diet, regular exercise and limiting alcohol are all great ways to keep a healthy lifestyle. Best of luck.

Answer: Facial Bloating Without before and after photographs, it is impossible to comment on whether this is as a result of your treatment or lifestyle. If you have concerns relating to your filler treatment, it would be wise to arrange a follow-up consultation with your Injector and assess your before and after photographs to establish the likely cause of this bloating, then agree upon the appropriate intervention required.

Answer: Is my facial bloating from Juvederm or a poor lifestyle? Hello Mmdroeger,Without seeing photos it is hard to comment. However, you indicated within two months you have had 6 syringe of Juvederm. That is quite a large amount. Given how much volume you've had injected it is possible that if you feel your face is more puffy it is the Juvederm. To verify this you can have it dissolved with hyaluronidase. If that resolves your problem then you have your answer. I would recommend you receive your injections from one of the core aesthetic physician injectors to help avoid an overdone look.I hope this helps and good luck.

Answer: Puffiness after 6 tubes of Juvederm All Hyalaruronic Acid Fillers, including Juvederm can cause swelling. They all tend to absorb water after they are injected. If they are placed in a deep area, they are great for replacing lost volume. If they are used more superficially, they can be associated with swelling and even bruising. Some swelling that occurs within a few days after the injections should be expected. This can be related to needle trauma which is normal and it usually goes away with just ice in a few days. If too much filler was used, then you may look swollen or puffy for a few months. If that is the case, your doctor can dissolve some of the juvederm with a chemical called Hyaluronidase. 6 tubes of juvederm may be too much for you, but it may not be too much or even not enough! To be more specific, I would need to see some before and after pictures. In the future, you may wish to add the Juvederm more slowly, maybe 1 or 2 tubes per month until you have the desired amount of correction.
