I’m 5’1, 115 pounds, female. I’m just looking into options to fix nostrils, never had any breathing issues
Answer: I Recommend Rhinoplasty | Facial Plastic Surgery Nosejob Expert | Crooked Nostrils Asymmetric Tip | Septoplasty | Beverly Hills Hello and thank you for your question and the picture. Addressing the shape of your nose (especially the nasal tip and nostrils) is actually one of the most common reasons people seek out and undergo a rhinoplasty. An open septorhinoplasty can best address both your aesthetic concerns and any functional issues with your nose. I would be able to adjust the size, shape, and definition of your nose (particularly the tip and nostrils)! This truly is a surgery of millimeters- and whether you're looking for a minor adjustment or a major transformation, it requires exceptional surgical skill to achieve functional and natural-looking results! Because your nose is the DEFINING feature of your face- I would only recommend seeing a surgeon who specializes in rhinoplasty procedures, and who has significant training and experience performing these surgeries. I actually trained under one of the world leading rhinoplasty experts (who performs 1,000+ nosejobs annually). I recommend for you to setup a formal consultation with me (or another plastic surgeon who is extremely comfortable with rhinoplasties) to thoroughly discuss your surgical goals, undergo a formal examination, evaluate your options, and develop a personalized plan just for you. I hope this helps! Dr. Donald Groves Aesthetic Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Nostril asymmetry Thanks for the question and the photo. My guess is that you have a deviated septum which is partially occluding the right side (left in the picture) of your nose. I'm a bit surprised you don't have breathing issues given how things look on the photo. If this is your only concern a basic septoplasty may be enough to get better symmetry without needing a full rhinoplasty. I would recommend scheduling with an Otolaryngologist or a Plastic Surgeon to discuss what may be causing this asymmetry and determine the best options. Hope this helps!Kyle Kimura, MD

Answer: Fix Nostrils I would recommend a rhinoplasty. This will permit putting the midline structure actually in the midline (the septum). In addition, you need cartilage grafts to open the nostrils (external valve collapse).

Answer: Rhinoplasty to improve nasal shape... Based on your photo, if you are only concerned by the different nostrils, then a septoplasty may correct that. A septoplasty can be done with a rhinoplasty at the same time if you are interested in improving the shape of the nose. Be sure to see a rhinoplasty expert for consultation.

Answer: In-person examination needed You need to have an in-person examination. It appears the medial crura is quite widened and you have a septal displacement as well. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.
