Thanks for your question, Snickerdoodle123 (and great profile name!)The real question is whether that is a fatty deposit or what is called ectopic breast tissue, that is, breast tissue that is the underarm as a result of embryologic development. Sometimes we can determine which it is based on some questions: was it there when you were at a lower weight? is the area responsive to weight loss? does it change with your menstrual cycle or pregnancy? does the site feel like other areas in the body with fat deposits or is it more firm? does the area get sensitive or tender?Only after these questions and a physical exam can real treatment recommendations be made. If we believe the site is breast gland, then a surgical solution is usually recommended, though the relevant procedures are often minor. If the area is felt to be fat, then kybella, coolsculpting, focal liposuction, or excision can be entertained, and relative assets and liabilities of each approach can be discussed. When stay at home orders are lifted, I would encourage a formal consultation. Good luck.
Armpit fat may occur due to age or genetics. Kybella will help break down fat deposits in the armpit area. Once it is injected, it will destroy the body fat which the body processes and removes naturally.
Technically, that area is called "bra fat". From your photos, you look like you would be a great candidate for it. You should realize that Kybella is only FDA approved for under the chin, so that area would be considered off label.Make sure you go to an experienced injector. You will likely need 2-3 treatment one month apart. Best of luck!
Hi!Absolutely yes!First of all, it is only FDA approved at this time for submental (under the chin) fat, but we have seen that it can be used off label pretty much anywhere there is fatty tissue. This is one of my favorite places for Kybella because no matter how much people diet and exercise, it never seems to go away!I would suggest 1 tube per underarm and most likely 2-3 sessions.
Hi there,Have a consultation with certified physician to discuss your best treatment option. Kybella is only FDA approved for sub mental fat. See an expert! Best of luck...
While Kybella could work, I would recommend CoolSculpting. CoolSculpting will require less sessions and less down time. Consult with your doctor to see which applicators would work for you and go for that over Kybella!
To provide you with the best assessment it would be crucial to have your baseline pictures, your age, and your goals to make any decision in the direction of injectable vs. surgery.
Kybella & CoolSculpting will suffice. If you can fit the CoolSculpting applicator then you can do the CoolSculpting. More pictures are needed to assess what fillers will be helpful to you. Consult a trusted practitioner to know in full.
