Pure Aesthetics - Gainesville

I have been self conscious about my hereditary chin fat for as long as I can remember. I felt like my side profile made me look much older and heavier than I actually was. I was so skeptical to try CoolSculpting because there were so many mixed reviews about it. I had been looking into liposuction for years but could never get up the courage to go through with it.

After going in on for a consultation at Pure Aesthetics I decided to take a chance and booked my appointment. The entire process was super easy and Carissa made me feel very comfortable about everything. The procedure itself was not painful at all. The first session took two treatments to complete, one application on each side of my chin 45 minutes each, so a total of an hour and a half. Honestly, the massage afterwards was the worst part. On a scale of 1 to 10, the pain of the massage following the treatment was about a 5. My skin was very red afterwards but that went away quickly. However my chin remained numb for about 4 weeks following the treatment.

I’m honestly blown away by my results. The changes are slow but I started seeing a slight difference after about 3 weeks. The fat under my chin has been significantly reduced. Ironically, I weigh less in my before picture than I do now but my post-CoolSculpting profile looks makes me look like I weigh less.

I’m now 2 months out from my first treatment and will be going back next week for my second. I’m so excited to see what my results will be and am now considering having my tummy done too. If you are considering having this done, you definitely won’t be disappointed!

Today is 2 weeks following my second treatment and I couldn’t be happier, I can actually see my jawline now! I can’t wait to see how much more it changes. I’m not numb at all this time around.

I went to Pure Aesthetics at the recommendation of my dermatologist from Springhill UF. I was lucky enough NOT to need another mohs surgery, which is a precise surgical technique used to treat skin cancer. But, not so lucky that I didn't need some TLC for my skin and some preventative treatment. My insurance will not cover preventative treatments, so she recommended Pure Aesthetics. I was nervous for many reasons; cost, treatments types, etc. I just had NO idea what to expect.
I TOTALLY appreciated how professional they treated me. They put my worries to rest about getting my skin healthy again and now between them and UF Dermo, I know I am on the right track to getting my skin cancer free and healthy.

I love the relaxing atmosphere. From the moment I walked in the door, I felt that I was in a very clean facility. Staff were professional. Waiting room has coffee and flavored water while you wait. Little details add up. Beautiful office.

I was a big intimidated by the procedure but Carissa and Lindsey both were kind and very helpful in keeping me informed throughout the 2 sessions. The results were what I expected and I’m happy!
