Upper abdomen bulge 1 year post mini tuck - can this be revised? (Photos)

I am 1 year post mini tuck op. My doctor didnt repair my upper abdo muscles. In my consult he said it wasnt needed. One year later my lower abdomen is smooth and looks great, but I have an upper abdomen bulge. Can this be revised? Is it possible to have upper abdomen repaired in office or will I need another tummy tuck surgery?

I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.

Thank you for your question and photos. A mini tummy tuck is rarely indicated. Imagine, if you have a long balloon and you squeeze the lower end, what happens to the upper end? Exactly. To save money and not to go through multiple inadequate procedures, you will need your tummy tuck or abdominoplasty redone completely. You have significant upper abdominal bulging and excess fat. See a board-certified plastic surgeon experienced in advanced body sculpting techniques for an in-person consultation/evaluation. BTW, this is not a touch up! Discuss this with your surgeon, if you trust him (although he misdiagnosed your condition). Good luck.

Based on your post photos, it is obvious you probably should’ve had a full tummy tuck initially, but now to correct the bulges of the upper abdomen if it’s based on the muscle being split or fat thickness under the skin that can only be determined in an in person or a virtual consultation will depend if a full tummy tuck revision is needed versus a full tummy tuck revision to tight muscles with possible liposuction. This must be explained during virtual consultation fees, for example, with range from $8000-$15,000 for either procedure again virtual consultation or in person consultation is required
