When will swelling be completely gone after subglandular breast augmentation?

Thank you for your question.  The amount of swelling and how long it takes to subside depends on the patient.  I tell my patients to wait about three months to assess their swelling and how far their implants have dropped.  Even after this time period, there will be more changes to your breasts.  Once you feel that your breasts are not longer experiencing dramatic changes, you will have a good idea of what size your breasts will be for bra fitting.All the best,Dr. ResultsMiami, FL

It takws several months for the swelling to subside. After the first 6-8 weeks most of the swelling has subsided. I would wait for 3 months to buy any expensive bra.

I instruct my patients to be expect a few weeks of swelling after a breast augmentation. A supportive bra and massage is appropriate to consider.

Having said that, swelling is an individualized recovery. Everyone will heal at different rates. Usually a few weeks.

Most of the swelling takes 4-6 weeks to subside. It might take a few months for complete resolution of the swelling. You will probably notice a small decrease in size which is normal. 

Swelling after a breast augmentation can take about 3-6 weeks for most swelling to settle, but there might be residual swelling that can last several months.

For a sub glandular breast augmentation you can expect four to six weeks of swelling.  After that time you should be close to your final shape and size.  

Thank you for your questions and post.  Though every patient is different, most of the swelling (70-80%) is gone after a month and you could potentially shop for a bra then, but realize that at 3 months, it may be a little loose.
