I gave husband oral sex approximately 27 hours after receiving lip injections and I'm worried that I may have affected the results. My lips appeared to have considerably gone down to almost their natural size directly after. Could this be due to oral sex or just swelling going down? I might add that I had very minimal swelling and no bruising. For future reference how long should one typically wait before giving oral sex after lip injections?

Swelling after lip Augmentation usually lasts 1-3 days, and I believe you simply experienced normal decreased swelling after your procedure. The primary reason fillers in the lip region does not last as long as other areas of the face is because the lips are pretty much in constant motion. Talking, chewing and other normal movement of the mouth causes the filler to be absorbed faster. I am sure your husband will be more than happy to fund another trip to your plastic surgeon for another treatment! Good luck!

Answer: Lip Augmentation Results with Fillers (Juvederm, Restylane, Volbella), Implants or Fat It is unlikely that oral sex negatively impacted your results, but if you're concerned I recommend following up with your injector. It can take 1-2 weeks for final results with lip injections. If you're unhappy with your final results, you can have it reversed and try a different technique next time. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Yes, ma'am, there is no question that this is possible. Forceful squeezing of material can cause it to shift irrespective of how you forcefully squeeze the product including oral sex. Generally I would recommend letting the product "set" for about a week before stressing it like this. Presumably you and your partner can find some other activity during this time frame.
