Lip fillers when talking

Thank you for your question. Go steady and you can keep a subtle and natural looking enhancement not visible on movement of the mouth. I find results are best by gradually building up. For example, 0.5ml the another 0.5ml after 2-3 months. This ensures longer lasting and natural looking results. 
Personally I use a nice soft product such as Juvederm Vobella or Volift which looks great.

No, well-placed fillers won't be obvious when you talk. These fillers, (Volbella, Restylane, Juvederm) are good to create a symmetrical and full lip. PDO Nova threads can also be used to improve shape and provide lift. Fat or implants are an alternative. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Lip augmentation should look and feel natural when injected correctly.  Various fillers can be used to add volume, improve definition and soften the lips while still looking and feeling natural. Juvederm Ultra can provide definition and fullness while Vobella, Restylane Silk and Belotero can soften the lips and improve lip lines without adding much volume.

It is absolutely possible to get soft, natural looking results with lip injection both at rest and with animation. I prefer Juvederm Ultra, Restylane, Volbella or Restylane Silk when injecting the lips and choose between these fillers based on what I think the patient needs. For example, Volbella or Silk are great fillers for adding subtle volume and defining the lips while Juvederm Ultra or Restylane can be used to add more fullness to the lips then Volbella or Silk can provide. I usually recommend patients start with 1 syringe of the appropriate filler and then add more in 2 weeks intervals as needed. Honestly, I find that most patients are satisfied with the degree of correction after one syringe as long as the correct filler and technique are used.
