Thank you for sharing your question and photographs.  It is not uncommon to have some swelling of the tissues along the upper ridge of the lips that dissipates as your filler material results mature.  At a  day after injection your results look appropriate and you should anticipate the majority of the swelling to go away with 2-3 days softening your areas of concern.  Hang in there!

Thank you for your question. It is too early at 1-day post-treatment to determine what your final result will be. However, it is common to have some swelling and bruising after fillers for lip augmentation which can take up to 2 weeks to resolve. You can apply cold compresses to the area to help reduce swelling and bruising. It is also advisable to avoid any NSAID’s before and after treatment as they tend to thin the blood and increase the risk of bruising and swelling. Thank you for your question. It is too early to determine your final results. However, it is common to have swelling after lip augmentation and can take up 2 weeks to resolve. You can ice your lips to help reduce any swelling. If you are unhappy with your final results you can have the filler dissolved with an enzyme known as hyaluronidase. Best of Luck!

I would wait for 2 weeks before you make any judgement on the result that you have. If you are not happy at that point, I would recommend following up with your injector.

Thank you for your question and for sharing your photographs.  Sorry that you are having some concerns about your postprocedure appearance.  Swelling and bruising is normal after treatment with Juvederm. Please keep in mind that it will take 2 weeks to allow for normal postprocedure swelling and bruising to fully resolve and to see your final result.  Early on, normal postprocedure swelling can sometimes cause the appearance of asymmetry or puffiness.  Icing is beneficial for up to 48 hours after the procedure.  Arnica is also helpful for minimizing normal postprocedure swelling and bruising, so I would suggest that you continue to use it.  If you continue to have any concerns at 2 weeks (final result), please be sure to see your injector for an in-person reevaluation to fully discuss your concerns in order to determine the best course of action.  Hope this helps and best wishes! 

Hi. I would definitely give your lips time. There can be swelling with any filler. Give it another couple of days to see the results. Remember that the filler will settle in over time. Good Luck. Dr. Eros
