How safe are lip injections? What's best product to use for first time patient?

Lip injections are safe if administered by a board certified doctor. These fillers, (Volbella, Restylane, Juvederm) are good to create a symmetrical and full lip. Fat or implants are an alternative. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer

In my hands the best results are obtained with restylane. I also use a cannula in this location. This allows even distribution, safety and precision. The other option for me is fat transfer which does wonders. It is worth researching that a bit.Hope this helps.Best of luck,DrC

Thank you for your question. Injecting the lips with hyaluronic acid dermal fillers is very safe when done by an expert. Many different brands of fillers are available. Some will be longer lasting and soft , like Juvederm Volbella, while others more volumizing. It depend of your desired look.
