I just had 1 1/2 syringe of voluma added to each cheek a month ago and was hoping it would help more with lifting the jowels. I love the results in my cheeks but still have the saggy lower face. Is there a non surgical procedure that can help me hold off a few more years before I need a facelift? Or should I plan on a facelift Within the next 2-3 years? Thank you kindly for your thoughts.
Answer: Options Hello,Thank you for your question. The Voluma looks great! There are several things you can do before a face lift. Profound is a combination of heat and microneedling. This will stimulate Collagen growth to lift and tighten the area. There is also Ulthera. This is combination on Ultrasound and heat which could also lift and tighten the area. The final option is threading, this procedure will involve injecting a thread like material that will stimulate collagen to lift the area. Ulthera has the least amount of downtime. Minimal bruising and swelling. The Profound and threads will have about a week of downtime with swelling and bruising. The threads provide the most instant result, while Profound and Ulthera will require time for the collagen to grow, and the results to be fully visible. Make sure to consult with a local physician to determine that you get the best treatment. Good luck!

Answer: A non-surgical procedure to minimize appearance of jowls would be to do Morpheus8. Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Non Surgical Face Rejuvenation Options include: Endolift Laser, PDO Threads and Fillers You may consider a Facelift in the future but there are excellent non-surgical options available to address lax skin of the jawline and neck that offer rapid recovery, minimal downtime and no open visible large scars. A combination of procedures will afford you the optimal rejuvenation. Patients with moderate skin laxity of the lower face and neck are ideal candidates for the Endolift Laser which is FDA approved and used throughout Europe. The Endolift Laser targets pockets of fat in the jowl, face and neck. It stimulates collagen so the skin looks significantly better and tighter. The benefits are that the Endolift Laser is placed through tiny pin holes so there are no scars and the healing is rapid. This is an outpatient procedure with minimal discomfort during or after the procedure. The Endolift Laser is amazing in the hands of well trained individuals who understand how to avoid complications and know the optimal manner in which to target lax tissues. When used in combination with PDO Threads and possibility facial fillers, the results are ideal and the downtime is minimal. You may also benefit from selective facial fillers: Radiesse, RHA or Restylane to contour your jawline and cheeks. This will support lax skin and muscle of the lower face. The combination of the Endolift Laser, PDO Thread Lift and selective Facial Fillers is the choice for patients who wish rapid recovery, have moderate laxity of facial and neck skin and wish a natural and rejuvenated appearance. Botox will not assist sagging skin but when appropriate can diminish prominent neck bands or muscles. Seeking a consultation with a well qualified individual is the first step.

Answer: Jowls Fillers can be used to address the jowls as well. For treatments to tighten the lower face you can consider FaceTite. This minimally invasive procedure uses RF technology to tighten skin, melt fat, and stimulate collagen production. No general anesthesia is required. You can optimize your results by adding Morpheus8 to address overall skin tone and texture. See a board certified plastic surgeon near you or my website to learn more.

Answer: Mini Facelift & Mini neck lift -- FaceTite RF for internal skin tightening + Neck Liposuction for definition/contouring FaceTite can internally tighten the skin in the lower face and neck. After all the skin has been heated and contracted, we shape the neck with liposuction to give definition and remove stubborn pockets of fat. In one quick treatment, we can tighten skin, remove fat, and contour the lower face, jawline, and jowls with only a weekend of downtime. Keep in mind that combination approaches will give you a more significant improvement as opposed to a single procedure. I recommend getting a consultation with a board-certified cosmetic dermatologist and facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Non surgical treatments for lower face Thank you for your question regarding nonsurgical procedures to the lower face. There are a few modalities that may help you achieve a slimmer lower half of your face. The first is the use of Botox in the masseter muscles. These muscles can become large if you area grinding or clenching your teeth. By relaxing the muscles with Botox, over time they will relax and diminish in size. This will result in a smoother and less sharp angle of the jawline. Secondly, fillers can also be used strategically ,and in addition to the Botox, can help contour the jawline to the shape you desire. Lastly, some are using Kybella (off label) to melt fat in the lower face (jowls). This can also be used in addition to the other treatments discussed above. To be sure, see two or more experienced, licensed and board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have treatment. I hope this helps.
