I have a wide and flat African American nose. I was wondering, if i get a non surgical nose job to make the bridge look higher (in hopes of giving the illusion of a slimmer nose) how long will the results last? Is there any way to get permanent results? I really hate the way that I look and I'm embarrassed of my looks. Picture below & thanks in advance.
Answer: Flat nose With a lateral view picture it would be easier to answer your question. In general the use of fillers, in my practice, a permanent filler gives excellent long term results in cases like yours. You are right that elevating the bridge of the nose makes it look thinner and more "elegant". A possible good addition to get an even better result is to also perform a simple wedge excision surgery at the base of the nose, inside the nostrils to decrease the width of the base of the nose.

Answer: How long does a non-surgical nose lift last? What is the price range? Thank you for sharing your question and photographs. Based on your narrative I would recommend incremental placement of Voluma to help strengthen the bridge of your nose and create a more structured and slim look. Be sure to see an ASPS board certified plastic surgeon in consultation to maximize your results.

Answer: Nonsurgical Nose Jobs Work Well For Improving "Saddle" Noses Unfortunately, the addition of a profile view of the nose would have been extremely helpful. However, if by "flat," you were referring to what is called the "saddle" nose, not uncommon among African Americans, that dips down like a saddle in the region of the bridge of the nose, then this kind of problem can easily be treated by the appropriate use of a volumizing filler. I have an excellent photo in my personal collection of an African American woman treated for precisely this problem. And, you are quite correct that straightening the saddle depression in this fashion will give a secondary lift to the remainder of the nose, which will impart a slightly more tapered overall appearance. The procedure in experienced hands should take no more than five minutes, and the results typically engender an immediate "Wow!" reaction. The results tend to last up to two years in my experience before a touch up is required. While the use of a permanent filler may seem enticing, it is fraught with the potential danger of short-term, as well as potentially long-term permanent complications, which can be difficult to treat. So, I would not recommend going this route. Surgical rhinoplasty is of course another option, but for this you must take into consideration surgical risks, postoperative downtime and surgical fees. As to price of nonsurgical rhinoplasty, this will vary between doctors, depending upon their experience as well as regional variations. Typical ranges may be between 850-1250. Be sure to consult with a board certified aesthetic physician and insist upon seeing his/her personal collection of before and after photos before agreeing to proceed. Best of luck.

Answer: Nose fillers in afro-carribean patients Hi, The bridge and collumnar of your nose could be defined and strengthened using Restylane Lyft - my preferred product for such treatments. This would detract from the flatness of your nose.
