Hello, I’m 25 and have not had kids. I struggle with PCOS and have heard this to be side effect of the disorder. I have always been insecure about the size and shape of them and am wondering if these are tubular breasts? If so, which procedure would be best to correct them? I don’t mind how my breasts look when my nipples are erect as much but otherwis the lack of cleavage and shape do bother me. Thank you!
Answer: Bellesoma Method Your breasts are not tubular but ptotic. The technique I recommend is a breast lift using The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained. Later, fat transfers can be performed if additional volume is desired. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Tuberous Breast Definition Tuberous breasts are characterized by a constricted lower pole, herniation or puffiness of the nipple areolar complex, and a tubular rather than spherical appearance of the breasts. So by definition you could be categorized has having tubular breasts. Ultimately in my opinion the treatment requires expansion of your lower pole, a breast lift, and likely an implant to provide more medial pole fullness. You should discuss your care with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who should be able to provide more information. Thank you for your question.

Answer: Breast lift with implant augmentation You seem to have narrow base breasts that are set apart, and significant lateral breast tail-chest folds. A breast lift with inclusion of lateral breast tissue and augmentation with low/moderate profile implants would be my suggestion. In person consultation or teleconference with a board certified plastic surgeon with good reputation in breast surgery is recommended. Good luck.

Answer: Thank you for your question and photos… An examination in person would be required to properly determine how to best advise you, but it does not appear that your breasts are classic tubular. Your body frame is such that your breasts have some distance between them. Depending on your goals it appears that a prettier breast shape can be achieved with a breast lift (mastopexy) with or without an appropriately selected implant that may be able to achieve enhanced cleavage for you. Please consult with an experienced board certified plastic surgeon whose aesthetics seem to align with your own based on his or her Before and After gallery. Best of luck to you.

Answer: Tubular Breast Correction Hey, thanks for sharing. I would say that I think you do have some characteristics of tuberous breasts. The lower part of your breast is tight and the fold is high. In terms of improving the shape, I think that you would benefit from a lift and implants. The lift will help to reshape the breasts and move the nipple towards the center of the breast. The implant will help to give you more cleavage and fullness at the top as well as improve the shape of the lower aspect. Liposuction of the side of the breast/chest will also help with the shaping. I do think that given how wide the cleavage is now, it will continue to be a little more wide than some, but you can get a great result I think. I hope that helps. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out. I am located in Raleigh, NC at Amelia Aesthetics.
