Inverted nipple repair surgery is a 'minor procedure' - it does not require general anesthesia and can be done under just local freezing. The procedure takes about 30 minutes and you will be able to go home soon after it is finished. The fee for this procedure varies based on how complex the repair needs to be. Typically, at our facility the fee is $1200 per nipple.
I appreciate your question.Inverted nipples can be corrected by releasing the tethered ducts in the office. There isn't much down time but the recovery can be a little uncomfortable. The best way to assess and give true advice would an in-person exam. Please see a board-certified plastic surgeon that specializes in aesthetic and restorative breast surgery.best of luck!Dr Schwartz
Inverted nipples can cause functional problems for women and emotional concerns. An inverted nipple can look flat or a slit like depression or hole at the normal nipple location. There are different degrees of inverted nipples possible. Usually correction of the inverted nipples involve division of the lactiferous (milk ducts). Risks of the procedure include potential loss of sensation, inability to breast-feed, recurrence of the asymmetry and the potential need for further surgery. Costs of surgery in our office range between $800-$1200. Usually done under local anesthesia, without difficulty. I hope this, and the attached link, helps.
Thank you for your question. The repair for inverted nipples is frequently a scarless technique that divides the tethered milk ducts, pulls the nipple out and keeps it there with a stitch while it heals. There really is no down-time with regards to normal daily activity including showers. Costs differ but I would think you could have this done for about $1,000. I recommend talking to a Plastic Surgeon in your area to examine you and discuss best options.
