I am a 19 year old boy. I am very aware of my wide and round face. I am insecure about my face earlier. Is there a procedure that can change a round face to an oval one?
Answer: Options Hard to give you a better answer without photos, but a genioplasty is a good way to elongate your face and reduce some of the 'roundness'. Things like buccal fat removal can help decrease fullness in your cheeks and jawline lipo or contour can help tighten the area around your jaw, creating a slimmer appearance. You have some options but it is hard to tell without a photo or reference to go on. Our office provides simulated morph photos of expected outcomes and we are happy to schedule a virtual or in-person consult to discuss things further!

Answer: Consider your options for facial slimming Thank you for your question. There are various injectable treatment options that can augment the shape of your face, such as dermal fillers and Botox. Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers can add volume where needed to balance your facial features, while Botox can be administered to provide a slimming effect to the lower third portion of the face. If you’re interested in a more long-term solution, buccal fat removal or facial liposuction can improve your cheek and jawline definition while creating a less-rounded face shape. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon or expert injector. They will be able to evaluate your concerns and determine the best approach to help you achieve your aesthetic goals.

Answer: Facial liposuction/buccal fat removal Yes, there are several procedures that can help to change the shape of a round face to an oval one. One option is facial liposuction, which can remove excess fat from the cheeks and chin to create a more defined jawline and a slimmer, more oval-shaped face. This procedure can be performed under local anesthesia and has minimal downtime. Another option is buccal fat removal, which involves removing a small amount of fat from the cheeks to create a more chiseled appearance. This procedure can also be performed under local anesthesia and has a relatively short recovery time. In some cases, a combination of facial liposuction and buccal fat removal may be recommended to achieve the desired results. It's important to note that these procedures should only be performed by a board-certified plastic surgeon with extensive experience in facial plastic surgery. It's also worth mentioning that certain hairstyles, makeup techniques, and clothing choices can help to create the illusion of a more oval-shaped face. I would recommend speaking with a hairstylist or makeup artist to learn more about these techniques. Before considering any cosmetic procedure, it's important to have a consultation with a qualified plastic surgeon to discuss your goals and determine the best course of action based on your individual needs and medical history. Best of luck !

Answer: Changing the shape of your head The shape of your head is based on your facial, skeletal bone structure. Changing your facial identity is complex surgery and should only be done for individuals who have a significant facial, skeletal imbalance. Consult with craniofacial surgeons in your community to get an assessment. Best, Mats Hagstrom, MD
