Is a chin implant effective to lengthen the face only vertically and not horizontally? (Photo)

I wonder if I would be a good candidate for a chin implant. I think my jawline looks well proportioned and developed from the side, but from the front it’s really too short. The lower third of my face is a bit shorter than the other two because my chin is very “soft”, so I’d like to achieve a more pointy one as I don’t like my square face. If I tried to correct my front view, would I ruin my side profile? I’m a 19 year old female.
