I am almost 25 years old and have a recessed chin and weak side profile - would i be a good candidate for a chin implant? Would chin lip be recommended as well? Are there any procedures that would need to be done on the angle of the jaw?

Answer: Chin augmentation and neck lift Providing that you have no major issue with your bite, augmentation of the chin by means of genioplasty or chin implant, should be considered. You will also need anterior neck lift (incision placed underneath the chin, same as for chin implant) which will provide better neck, jawline contour. In person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon, expert in facial rejuvenation and implants, is recommended. Good luck.

Answer: 24, what do you recommend for a stronger Chin From the photographs presented, you have a recessive mandible, and fat deposits in your neck located both above and below the platysma muscle in your neck. Placement of a chin implant will augment your mandible bone forward and give you a small amount of width as well. A neck lift procedure is going to be required to remove both compartments of fat in your neck which also includes a platysma plasty to significantly improve the jawline. No skin removal is required. This can usually be performed with three small access incisions. Liposuction won't be very effective in your neck because most of the fat that you have is below the platysma muscle
