My lower face has dropped - Do I need a revision? (Photo)

Question

6 months ago I had a full face and neck lift deep plane. I think my lower face had dropped considerably and it looks like it did before. I am 57 yrs old.

Hi there! It is a good time to check in with your surgeon and see whether they have seen this happen to their other patients and if they can offer you a reasonable solution. It is hard to tell exactly why this area may have been refractory to lifting and smoothing out, but it certainly may be due to technique or even secondary to things that were done prior to surgery such as use of permanent fillers, energy devices, etc. I strongly recommend having a good follow up with your original surgeon and perhaps a second opinion from another local surgeon who can examine you in person. Hi Lady . photo is not optimal bur İt seems here , this doesnt look like a drooping . İt seems like irregularty caused by scarring or granulomas or may be grafting . i dont know which technique is being used , and which procedures are being performed , you can talk with your surgeon for possible reasons .

Hello. From your photo, I can see that you have significant laxity in your lower face and this is not typical of a well done deep plane facelift. Some customization of the deep plane technique is often required to specifically address each patient's need, as seen in your case here. I would recommend a revision lower facelift combined with Morpheus8/FaceTite for best results to take care of the skin laxity around the mouth where the facelift cannot treat.
