But I am looking to prepare by getting by post op bra. I am currently a 38F-G. What side bra should I get if we are trying to go down to a D to DD. Can anyone recommend a particular brand?
Answer: Save Your Money and Wait It’s great to be proactive, but you may be getting a little ahead of yourself. If you’re talking about a surgical bra, your surgeon will probably provide one for you. If you want to buy additional bras, discuss your options with your doctor’s office. If you’re looking into buying a regular bra for after your recovery period, it’s better to wait until you have an accurate idea of your true “after” breast size. It will be weeks or months until post-op swelling goes away, at which point you can be measured for new bras.

Answer: Brand I would look into Marena. As for your surgery, I recommend an in-office examination as well as a detailed discussion with a surgeon who you are comfortable with. Finally, make sure your surgeon is a Double-Board Certified Plastic Surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS), a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery (ASPS), a member of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).Best,Dr. DesaiBeverly Hills Institute for Aesthetic Plastic SurgeryHarvard Educated, Beverly Hills & Miami Beach TrainedDouble Board-Certified, Double Fellowship-Trained Beverly Hills Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Postoperative bra size breast reduction Thank you for your question. It is a good idea trying to get prepared ahead of time, but for this particular issue I would recommend you waiting until after surgery. I tell my patients who come to see me in my Manhattan office location in NYC not to buy any nice or fancy bra for approximately 3 months after surgery. After surgery your breast will have some swelling, which is anticipated and will subside over the next few weeks. At that time I recommend you getting measured and fitted for the particular kind of bra your like. Right after surgery you will likely be placed in a surgical bra. You surgeon will then guide you when you can switch into a soft sports bra. I recommend my patients get a bra that opens and closes in the front and without an underwire. This will make it easier to get dresses without having to reach behind your back, and be more gentle on the bottom of your breast, especially if an incision is planned in that area. I encourage you to speak with your board certified Plastic Surgeon who can guide you through anticipated changes of your breast postoperatively.

Answer: Post op bra Hello! Good luck with your authorization process. In our practice we use Marena for many of the post op garments because we like the fabric options, closure options and the "normal" not so bulky styles. Bra sizes for post op are mainly based on the circumference of your trunk. When you have your consultation at a board certified plastic surgeon's office ask them to measure you for the best bra fit! Good luck!
