For religious reasons I do not want a blood transfusions, I’ve wanted to get a BBL and BA for a long time but am scared something might go wrong and would need one. What are the chances of having complications and needing one.
Answer: What are the chances of needing a blood transfusion during a BBL or BA? If you are with a high quality board certified surgeon with experience performing those procedures in an accredited facility the chance should be approaching 0. We never say never in medicine, but most of us attempt our BA procedures with nearly zero blood loss and a BBL should never cause enough blood loss to require a transfusion. If you are really concerned you can always bank your own blood which may be ok depending on the exact nature of your beliefs surrounding blood products. Hope that helps!

Answer: Blood loss Dear abbie1129, BBL and BA don't cause major blood loss so the chance of needing blood transfusion is really low but still existing. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: DR.
