How long do I have to wait to do Yoga after getting 2 tubes of Voluma in cheeks and some botox in forehead??

Was wondering how many days I have to wait to do Yoga ( head down ) after getting 2 tubes of Voluma in cheeks and some botox. I know some say not to do exercise for 24 hours but was wondering If I can walk, run or do yoga and how long I should wait. Thank you

Although it is unlikely that mild exercise such as yoga would displace your Botox or Voluma, I always advise my patients to take a 24-hour break from exercise or strenuous activities after receiving a neuromodulator or dermal filler. You may feel a little sore or swollen after your injections, and inverting through headstands or a downward dog position will put more pressure on your face. Even if you don't feel swollen or bruised, I'd advise giving yourself a “beauty break” and refraining from exercise for at least a day. Consulting a board-certified dermatologist who's an expert in using injectables such as Voluma, Juvederm and Botox will give you a better idea of what to expect from your treatments and how to get the most out of them.

Thank you for sharing your question.  In general I ask patients wait until the day after treatment to resume their normal exercise regimen.  Exercise the day of treatment will not materially affect your results but may lead to more swelling and bruising. Hope this helps.

I ask patients to wait one hour after Botox and 6 hours after Voluma and other dermal fillers before they begin exercising again. This is not so much because you may displace the product (I've never seen that happen), but because heating up through exercise or turning upside down in yoga may increase postprocedure swelling. But after that, you should be fine to resume your normal activities. Consulting a board-certified dermatologist will allow you to learn all you need to know about how to get the most out of your injectable anti-aging therapies.
