How long does nerve pain last after Vaser Liposuction?

How long does nerve pain last from Vaser lipo? I had done this year and it’s lingering. I’ve heard it can take as long as 16 months in one example to subside. It’s a non stop pins/needles sensation. It hurts mainly when anything rubs against my skin. Thank you

It totally depends on your body. Generally w, when nerve pain occurs, it recovers spontaneously. In rare cases, permanent nerve damage may happen, and no recovery is possible. I recommend you to wait a little bit longer

This is a great question. Unfortunately, the answer to this question is different for every body. For most patients, it can take multiple months for the nerve pain to subside. Keep in mind, when we do VASER liposuction, we are not cutting the nerves. However, with the aggressive nature of the liposuction and the VASER the nerves get very, very irritated. And unfortunately, it just takes time for the nerves to reset. Our patients routinely report symptoms resolving usually within about six months. However, I have also seen patients complain about these same nerve symptoms for over a year. Sometimes you can use medications like gabapentin to help with some of the pain. However, it usually will get better on its own. Hope this helps.

Very common after any for of liposuction.SEveral odd sensations - numbness, tingling, itching, hypersensitivity.In most cases it settles after 6-8 weeks, but that varies between patients.Stimulating the skin helps - moisturising, foam rolling etc.
