Without an exam your question cannot be answered. However, your photos are helpful and you are probably a good candidate for a Chin Augmentation. You will need to see an Oral/Maxillofacial surgeon to see if othognathic surgery, genioplasty or using an implant is best for your specific case. It should be noted that patients with severely weak jaws or abnormally functioning jaws may be better treated with other facial surgery (orthognathic surgery), although a chin augmentation may be an option at a later time. These patients should seek the advice of a plastic surgeon to determine which course is right for them. Here is some information to help you make this decision:Candidates for Chin Augmentation -Patients whose chin profiles are weak but have normally functioning jaws are candidates for Chin Augmentation. Many of these candidates have used injectable fillers in the past to strengthen the protrusion of their chins, but are looking for a permanent solution. If you are one of these patients, then you are a likely candidate for chin augmentation.

Thank you for your question and photos. The chin augmentation (implant or sliding genioplasty) is the operation that will bring better balance to your face. Your nose has many nice features, but a small bump removal (dorsal hump) and tip refinement would give you an incremental improvement. If you are only considering doing one operation, the chin surgery is definitely the way to go. If you don't like the bump or would like a little more definition to your tip, both can be done at the same time. All the best!
Thank for your pictures. You may need evaluation of your lower jaw. In my opinion, if your lower jaw and dentition are reasonable then a sliding genioplasty would improve your profile and correct your asymmetry. Best wishes.
Given your large degree of horizontal chin deficiency, you would be best served long-term with a sliding genioplasty to move the chin bone forward. A large chin implant can also be used but it will make your chin look wider in the front view.
Hi and thanks for your question. Unfortunately without an examination to determine your occlusion it's not possible to provide a diagnosis or treatment plan. However I would strongly recommend that you see a surgeon who is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery for an in-depth consultation and a recommendation.
The side photograph demonstrates a weak and recessive chin profile for which a chin implant can improve and augment forward. Chin implants are designed to give added projection to the chin help with facial balance and proportions. Chin implants are manufactured out of Silastic which can be custom carved when needed and are placed through a small incision underneath the chin under local anesthesia as an outpatient procedure. Hi, I have performed many Rhinoplasty Surgeries and chin augmentations, using a chinimplant, over the past 30 years. From the photos, your chin is very weakcreating an imbalance that makes the nose appear larger, the lower face shortand the mid face appear top heavy while de-emphasizing the lips and allowingearly "double chin" formation. Chin augmentation, using a chinimplant, will add projection to the chin creating harmony and balance to thelower face. I have found placing a silastic chin implant through a small, curved, incisions under the chin to be very safe, quick, highly effective andfar less invasive than a sliding genioplasty that requires bone cuts withplacement of screws and metal plates. Iperform chin implant surgery, in 30 minutes or less, often using a localanesthetic alone. Your nose has an S-shape, typically from nasal trauma or a previous Rhinoplasty, with a nasal tip that is a bit wide and a slight dorsal bump. Clsoed Rhinoplasty can address these areas making the nose more straight and refined in appearance.Hope this helps.
A silicone implant can be placed to improve chin projection and contour as well as proportions in the lower part of your face while making your nose look rrelatively smaller.
You are an excellent candidate for a small curvilinear style Implantech chin implant. It will put your profile in excellent shape and truly enhance your appearance. This particular style implant is perfect to get you the projection and definition you desire. I do chin implants like these w...
It is absolutely common to have one side (usually the left) larger/wider than the other side. This feature extends from the 'eye socket' (one larger and one smaller) down to the cheekbones and the jaw. The usual management, if desired, is to subtly increase the 'weaker side' to better match the...
First of all, you need "before" photos where you are not smiling. Comparing smiling to non-smiling photos is totally wrong.Your surgeon should have a complete set of before photos if you don't have any. Go over to his office and ask for copies. You are far enough out from surgery to make a...
