First of all, you need "before" photos where you are not smiling. Comparing smiling to non-smiling photos is totally wrong.Your surgeon should have a complete set of before photos if you don't have any. Go over to his office and ask for copies.You are far enough out from surgery to make a reasonable decision about the size of the chin implant, especially if it's not a close call.From the frontal view, especially for a female, it's crucial that the implant *not* make the chin *taller*, that is, not increase the vertical distance from the lips down to the bottom of the chin. A short vertical height of the chin is a feminine feature; a long vertical height is masculine.From the side, you want the chin to not be too strongly forward projecting.If your evaluation is that the implant is definitely too big, why is it too big? Did you do computer imaging with the surgeon beforehand? Did he know what size to place beforehand?If it's a typical silastic implant, and if it's *way* too big, it's not too early to replace it with a smaller implant. I believe the issue is maxillary excess (overgrowth of upper jaw) making your face long. By having sliding genioplasty, the chin would not become longer.
