I'm 23 years old and my frame is very small. I'm not planning to breastfeed and I don't care about nipple sensation. Is it possible to reduce my breast from a D cup to an A/AA cup, I want nothing bigger than A cup, a free nipple graft will also be fine it's its needed to achieve these results. Is that possible?? I just want small breast :(.
Answer: Breast reduction from D to A cup Hello and thank you for your question! I will preface this by saying that everyone is different in their body size, proportions, breast tissue density, etc and we as plastic surgeons cannot promise specific cup sizes with any procedure. Moreover, a large percentage of women aren't wearing the proper bra size and this measurement can also vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. However, in general, most women can go down about 2 cup sizes (possibly 3 if you are starting from a very large cup size) with a standard pedicled breast reduction. In your case, if you truly are a D cup, I would expect ending up in a full B cup range after a breast reduction is reasonable. Going down to an A cup, however, would be a more unrealistic jump, unless you were to have a breast reduction with free nipple grafting. As you mention, this procedure will sacrifice nipple/areola sensation and function; however, it allows surgeons to remove more tissue. As always, I recommend an in-person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to do a full history and exam and answer your specific questions fully.

Answer: Reduction Yes, it is possible to go down that small and you may need free nipple grafts. I would suggest looking at photos of women who are a and B cups carefully, so you can make a well informed choice. Your surgeon will have these photos for augmentation patients.

Answer: You could! It would be good for you to get a specific evaluation, but based on what you mention, i don't see the problem with getting a meaningful reduction!

Answer: Breast reduction with free nipple grafting Thanks for your question! You can certainly get your breasts very small. I would caution going too small. You have certain goals now, but they may change in the future. Keeping a functional breast is the ideal choice if it's possible. Please consult with a qualified surgeon in your area. Good luck!
