I had breast augmentation 3 weeks and 2 days ago. My right breast appears significantly larger still and my nipples look uneven. Is this okay at this point? (I realize that I did not have perfect symmetry prior to surgery and will account for that.)

Answer: Be patient! Thank you for sharing your photos. Your early result looks quite normal. Your implants are in the typical early position (relatively high on the chest wall) and will naturally migrate downwards as your tissues stretch and the swelling resolves. The relative position of your nipples will also improve as this occurs. The minor asymmetry is not at all uncommon (especially if it was present preop). You should remain patient, discuss your concerns with your plastic surgeon and he/she will probably also encourage you to perform some gentle massage/stretching exercises to move your implants downward and medially.

Answer: Breast Augmentation Recovery I appreciate your concerns but preop photos would be helpful to evaluate asymmetry prior to surgery. Also hematoma must also be ruled out, so you should see your surgeon. Your body needs time to heal and adapt to the implants. The skin and muscle over the implants must stretch a bit to allow the implants to settle into their final position. While your appearance will improve fairly quickly, don't expect to see your final result for at least 6 months after surgery. Good Luck!
