Should I be concerned about visible veins after Voluma?

Voluma is a highly cross-linked hyaluronic acid filler designed for midface (cheek) volumizing and rejuvenation. Voluma should be injected in the deep layer of the face along the bone. Veins in the face are relatively superficial, though can be injured with the injection. Vein injury can lead to bruising and swelling. Ice packs to the area of Voluma injection every 4 to 6 hours can help limit and decrease the bruising and swelling.

I am in agreement with the answers below.What you are describing as "veins" is unclear and you should return to your treating physician to see what has happened.Voluma is injected deep into the skin and does not get rid of veins.  If they were showing prior to treatment, they will show after.

This is a normal occurrence after Voluma injections (or any facial filler injection).  When a vessel is hit during injection (which they commonly are) they can cause a blue/purple lump that can last for days to weeks (depending on how large the vessel is).  I recommend that you don't massage these but just wait at least another week and if you're still concerned return to your physician for evaluation.  Good luck!
