Absolutely recommend Voluma to everyone who has lost volume in their face. I only had one in each cheek, and I swear it is like a mini facelift. I'm so happy, I can't stop smiling. I am 56 and had very saggy skin and no volume at all. I now have perfect cheeks with volume in my face. Don't go by price, make sure you have a good dr. Who knows what they are doing. I've only been home for a couple of hours, and I have no swelling or bruising. Keeping my fingers crossed this last, because, ILove it.
I am in my 60s and wanted to approach a more youthful appearance. For me, that meant more fullness in areas that were sunken due to the passage of time--under the eyes and in the cheek area. My results are amazing! My husband noticed the improvement immediately. Dr. Linnell is a personable, highly skilled and capable MD. I can't recommend her highly enough.
The last few years I've noticed the genetic dark under eyes of my mother and crows feet showing up. I did a lot of research and decided on some Botox and spoke to Dr. Linnell about my under eyes. She suggested Belotero. It was a little uncomfortable but SO worth it; I love it. The Botox is just starting to be noticeable 2 days later and I can already see a difference.
I have lovely face with sun damage. I was looking for a way to reduce sunspots, wrinkles, and refresh the surface of my skin. I did not want a extreme treatment with a lot of down time and also wanted to find a treatment that was affordable. I also wanted the treatment performed by a skilled physician who would be able to determine what the best treatment for my skin would be. Dr. Linnell was so helpful in guiding me to the most effective treatment for my current skin condition. She is extremely knowledgeable, skilled and kind. She put me at ease before, during and after the treatment. There was ample time for prepping my face before the treatment in a lovely and relaxing environment. The outcome of the treatment was very positive. The change in the texture of my skin has changed dramatically . My skin is supple and smooth with a great reduction of age spots. While some of the deeper wrinkles in my face remain, many of the finer to moderate wrinkles have been reduced. The first 3 days following the treatment I was a bit swollen and red, but I went about my daily activities (staying out of the sun). I kept my face moisturized continuously. I am very happy with the results and would not hesitate to have the treatment repeated in the future.....by Dr. Linnell.
I have had bags under my eyes for about 6 years. I've tried a lot of over the counter treatments. I've even done needling too. So after all Of these things failed, I decided I would try a filler. I researched quite a bit before choosing dr Linnell. I was scared and ready to walk out of the office. But she and her staff made me feel so comfortable. When she started the procedure it didn't even hurt. I'm just sorry I waited so long to have it done. My confidence is slowly coming back now. Thank you dr Linnell. I'm very happy with seeing my face back to the way it use to look. Updated on 23 May 2015: 4 days after my procedure, still a little bruising underneath, but almost gone! Updated on 24 May 2015: Here's my most recent picture,Sunday day 5
I have had two IPL treatments with Dr. Linell, and other IPL treatments elsewhere, and I am always happiest with my results from her. I'm not sure why, but I am always more comfortable during the procedure at her office, and the results are beyond my expectation each time. I literally feel that the more I see her, the healthier my skin looks. She is conservative but effectve with all of her treatments, and the IPL is at the top of my list for recommendations to others, as its non invasive and takes only about 20mins. I also think the cost of the treatment is very good given how dramatic and long-lasting the the results are.
Had both Voluma and Juvederm Ultra done the same day. It was $975 for the first syringe of voluma and $875 for the second syringe. $575 for each syringe of Juvederm Ultra. I acheived immediate results! So far the results have lasted extremely well several months later. And no "down-time" (ie, I could go right to work the next day). I feel this procedure took 5-7 years off my appearance.
I am in my 30s, and wanted to try botox, mostly for preventative measures. I was somewhat nervous, as I did not want to look "overdone", but thought I would give it a whirl. From the moment I walked in the office door, I felt at ease. The staff was very pleasant and on time, and the environment and aesthetics of the office was very professional and inviting.
My upper lip has always had a bit of asymmetry to it. Not a big deal, but something I have been constantly aware of. It also lack the fullness that most people have between the nose and lip, so I looked a bit flat. I originally came to Dr. Linell for Botox, which I also highly recommend seeing her for - she is much more delicate and careful than many doctors I've seen for similar procedures. I broached the subject of my lips and the best part about it was, that if I wasn't happy, they had a product that could undo it, so I felt very safe. I knew Dr. Linell had a gentle hand, but this was incredible. No one could tell I'd had anything done, it all looks so natural. They ask if I've lost weight, gotten my hair cut, that sort of thing. But the best part is that I feel so good, every morning when I look in the mirror. I actually live in NY now, and I refuse to see anyone but Dr. Linell for my cosmetic procedures.
My under eye fillers were lumpy and bumpy. I looked worse than before. Now I have to get them corrected. She tried different treatment options for my under eye area and nothing has worked quite right or gotten me any good results. On to another doctor. Will definitely not visit Erica again.
Thanks for the photos and question. Juvederm (and the other hyaluronic acid fillers like Restylane and Belotero) are all acceptable fillers to inject into the tear trough area. All of these fillers come in a 1 cc (ml) syringe. Typically I start with just 1 syringe of filler for the tear troughs. The filler will attract water and if too much is placed in this area it can lead to puffiness or bags under the eyes. My philosophy is that we can always add more but it's more difficult to remove the filler once it's placed. Please make sure that you consult with an experienced injector MD.Best,Dr. Linnell
Thank you for the photos and question. Voluma would be a great option for you given your volume loss in the mid-face area. If placed in the right area, it will not make your cheeks look too big or chubby! You may also benefit from some under-eye filler like Belotero (a thinner filler for this delicate area). Make sure you consult with an experienced injector MD in your area.Best,Dr. Linnell
Doxycycline can make you more sensitive to UV radiation- not to a laser like the Halo. You should be fine to be on the doxycycline during the laser treatment- although I recommend that you clear this with your laser surgeon.Retinoid creams like Tazorac, Retin-A, Atralin and Differin should be stopped 1 week prior to the laser treatment. 5 days may be enough time but again, please check with your surgeon.Enjoy the Halo,Dr. Linnell
Yes! Halo laser is a great treatment option for removing brown spots or sun spots on the décolletage. The Halo laser is also good for treating fine lines and wrinkles so that would be an added benefit when treating this area. There are other options for treating brown spots on the décolletage including IPL or BBL. I recommend that you consult with a plastic surgeon or dermatologist in your area to determine the best treatment option for you!Best,Dr. Linnell
The Halo laser is a hybrid laser with two wavelengths- one that is non-ablative and one that is ablative. The Halo consists of 3 preset settings (low, medium and high) and uses the non-ablative wavelength. This treatment is good for someone who wants minimal downtime and some light resurfacing. The Halo Pro uses both the ablative and non-ablative wavelengths and can be customized by your physician to treat your specific problems. Treatments with Halo Pro are typically more aggressive but with more customized and faster results.Hope this helps!Dr. Linnell
