What causes the film on my nose after rhinoplasty?

Thank you for your question.  Sometimes the left over adhesive from the tape that was applied to the nose can cause this.  A photo would be helpful.  This should diminish over time, and your surgeon should be able to help you in this regard.  Best of luck.

It is probably a combination of a skin prep used on the nasal skin and exfoliating skin cells that have collected under the skin prep and nasal splint. Gentle daily washing with soap and water will eventually allow it all to come off.
