It was slapped. And i got a teary eye. My nose bleeded and swelled up. I put ice on it until the bleeding stop. Did i got a broken nose? Thanks
Answer: Nasal fracture Good quality pictures from front and oblique views are often needed to assess a nose for nasal fracture. In case of a fracture there is generally significant swelling that initiates within hours of the trauma and it subsides by post trauma day 5 to 7. The best time for a nasal surgeon to assess the patient for possible nasal fracture is the narrow window of time starting right after the swelling has subsided, but before the bones start to consolidate, which is in about 2 to 3 weeks following the trauma.

Answer: Nose injury In order to properly assess if you potentially have broken bones you should schedule an appointment with an experienced surgeon who can determine if you need any imaging. It is difficult and not possible to do this from photos alone.
