Piece of cartilage coming out of my nostril after Rhinoplasty, is it dangerous?

Hello. I had a rhinoplasty when I was 16 to redefine the tip of my nose so 3 years ago and after a while the tip of my nose started going down and felt uneven and since last year I have a piece of bone/cartilage coming out of my nostril. I can't breathe or smell anything anymore and the surgeon told me I have a deviated nose because of the surgery. I cant afford another surgery because of college but I will in a few years My question is : is it dangerous? Thank you -l

I'm sorry to hear about your issue - this is quite unusual so far out from surgery.
I know there are financial constraints, but you need to have a surgeon assess your nose. If this is cartilage coming through the skin or nostril lining, this can lead to an infection that can permanently injure your nose and your health. It would be best to see your original doctor, as he/she will know what was done and have a better idea whether you need revision surgery or a small procedure.
